Projects

Mentorship

Our current efforts are aimed at professional mentorship. We believe in helping other Armenians succeed professionally via providing them with significant advice and guidance in their path of becoming highly skilled Canadian professionals.

Once an applicant becomes a mentee with our organization, the coordinator of the appropriate professional group introduces them to other mentors based on matching education or experience. Our mentors provide one-on-one advice and mentorship on successful strategies on academic (university admission), employment and certification issues in Canada in their field.

Our applicants are made aware that we do not provide employment, “survival jobs”, or guarantee university admission. Instead, we help them in their career field by sharing with professional experience and information.

We expect utmost professionalism from our applicants and members. They are asked to maintain impeccable communication skills and punctuality. We realize the busy nature of competitive professional careers. However, we expect a response to our emails or phone calls within one week.

Networking

We provide a millieu for our members and mentees to interact. These are both in the form of introductions during mentorship process, as well as events.

Events

We aim to organize 3-4 events per year. Some will be in the form of unstructured networking. Others will be geared to specific professional subgroups, or involve a guest lecturer.

Scholarship

Our medium-term goal is to establish the largest Canadian-Armenian scholarship to assist Armenians seeking professional education in Canada.

Awards

Our short to medium term goal is to start rewarding exceptional professionalism and dedication to the idea of promoting professional development in Armenian communities, first and foremost, our mentors.

Collaboration with like-minded organizations

Our current partners include TRIEC, ACCES Employment, Armenian Family Support Services.

In the medium to long-term, we plan on collaborating with like-minded Armenian organizations from both Canada and around the world, with the goal of enhancing professional development in Armenian communities worldwide.
